- USR 28.8 (33.6)'s do not work well with most Rockwell chipset based
- modems when trying to connect v.34. That +MS command you gave sets v.34
- as the preferred protocal when you are dialing out. To make v.FC
- preferred, try AT+MS=74,1,300,28800

- If the USR is the dialing modem, this will make no difference. You will
- have to block out v.34 by setting your S110 register. The settings for
- this register vary a lot from one modem to another, and I don't know the
- ones for a cardinal, so you'll have to look up S110 in the manual.
